Alex Krycek (played by Nicholas Lea), a.k.a. Ratboy, became Mulder's partner in a second season episode called Sleepless when Mulder and Scully were split up. At first we're supposed to think that he's just a young and inexperienced FBI agent, but at the end of the episode you see him telling the Cigarette-Smoking Man that Scully is a big problem. He warns CSM that splitting Mulder and Scully up has only strengthened their determination to find the truth. In the episode Ascension, he tries to kill Mulder in order to stop him from saving Scully. Because of him, the man named Duane Barry who had kidnapped Scully, traded Scully for himself to be abducted by aliens or the government, we're never sure which. At the end of this episode, Krycek kills Duane Barry so he won't leak out any secret information about these so called "abductions". Krycek mysteriously disappeared from the FBI, only to show up again to shoot Mulder's father in Anasazi at the end of Season 2, framing Mulder for the murder.
In the third season, we see Krycek another man enter Scully's apartment. The man with him, who turns out to be Luis Cardinal, shoots Scully's sister, thinking that it was Scully. Soon after Krycek attacks A.D. Skinner and recovers a very important digital tape which contains evidence of the existance of extraterrestrials and the government involvment with them. When Krycek offers to give the Cigarette-Smoking Man the tape, the Cigarette-Smoking Man tries to kill him, but Krycek escapes out of the country with the tape.
In the episode Piper Maru, we see him again in Hong Kong, when Mulder goes there following a suspicious secretary. But Krycek gets infested with the black oil, the very alien who's secrets he's been selling off the tape. The alien uses him to make a deal with the Cigarette-Smoking Man, who sends Krycek off to North Dakota where the alien's ship is being held. The alien returns to it's ship, and leaves a very bewildered Krycek trapped in the room with the ship, yelling and screaming to get out, remembering nothing of what had just happened. Krycek appears once again in the episode Tunguska. In Terma, Mulder discovers that Krycek may not really be what he lets on. Krycek is very friendly with the people who capture him. When Mulder forces Krycek to escape with him, he disappears into the forest. He meets a group of one-armed men, who that night cut off his arm, so that the soldiers cannot inject a mysterious substance into his arm like they did to the other prisoners.
In the Season 5 episodes, Patient X and The Red and the Black, Krycek (who now has a fake arm) is doing experiments on people in Russia with the black oil. He warns Mulder of alien colinists and a coming war. In Patient X he is also seen kissing with Maria Covarrubias. In the last episode, The End, Krycek is working with the Well-Manicured Man, one of the men in the Syndicate. In one part of this episode, he has a good chance to shoot the Cigarette-Smoking Man from his car, and would have if the Well-Manicured Man hadn't told him not to.
In the Sixth Season, Krycek shows up in a few episodes. He's in the episode "S.R. 819" and is seen with a very shaggy but oh-so-cute looking beard. He is in on a project that has to do with nanotechnology in people's bodies, and he uses it on Skinner. Now, Skinner can be killed with just the push of a button, and this button is in Krycek's hands. Basically, Skinner takes orders from him now. Krycek is also in the season finale! He's gotten so hot!
Lets stay on the lookout for more of him. Lots more.
